The BC-06 coating is engineered to deliver exceptional stain resistance and effortless cleaning, made possible by the extreme hardness of its protective coating film. It is designed specifically to be applied to wheels and other surfaces.

At the core of its performance is a thin silica layer derived from perhydropolysilazane, which forms an invisible yet highly durable barrier over the surface it is applied to. This advanced technology prevents dust, grime, and contaminants - especially those of high temperature - from embedding into painted surfaces. These particles, which would otherwise require aggressive cleaning methods to remove, are effectively inhibited from attaching, keeping the surface cleaner for longer and making cleaning easier.

Once applied, BC-06 chemically reacts with the paint surface to create a robust coating. Its densely packed molecular structure bonds tightly with the substrate, enhancing durability and longevity. This protective layer significantly reduces the frequency of washes required and maintains a glossy, pristine appearance with minimal maintenance effort.

BC-06 is set apart from other coatings by its exceptional heat resistance. Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 1,300 °C (2,372 °F), it offers powerful protection against extreme conditions, particularly on wheels exposed to high temperature brake dust. Even under these punishing temperatures, the coating remains stable and effective, preserving the finish and making future cleaning far easier.

BC-06 provides an outstanding balance of durability, thermal resistance, and ease of maintenance. It offers car owners a high-performance solution that not only protects but also enhances the visual appeal of their vehicle.

By applying BC-06, wheel surfaces benefit from a finish that resists the buildup of break dust. This results in a surface that stays cleaner for longer, requiring fewer washes and less effort to maintain.

BC-06 is not designed as a hydrophobic coating, but can be combined with Modesta’s BC-06 Top Coat, which makes surfaces treated with BC-06 superhydrophobic. BC-06 application to body panels might be considered in case of race cars, especially in combination with BC-06 Top Coat or BC-05.

BC-06 is applied touchless by spraying and is self-levelling, making it an ideal treatment for complex surfaces like wheels, but also motorcycles, engine bays and others. It can safely be applied to paint, rubber and both painted and unpainted plastic surfaces.
