This advanced hydrophobic topcoat is specifically engineered to enhance and transform the surface characteristics of Modesta’s BC-06 wheel coating. While BC-06 itself can exhibit hydrophobic behavior, depending on the surface it is applied to, it is not designed as a hydrophobic coating.

By altering the coating surface structure, BC06 Top Coat changes the water behavior from hydrophilic to hydrophobic and significantly boosts the beading performance and visual appeal of treated surfaces. Once applied, it enables wheels and other components protected by BC-06 to exhibit strong water-beading properties, on par with those seen in other high-end Modesta coatings. BC-06 Top Coat boots the self-cleaning properties of the surface. Water, dirt, and road grime are more effectively repelled, which helps to maintain a cleaner surface for longer periods and reduces the frequency and effort required for maintenance.

In addition to the striking water-beading effect, this topcoat also reinforces the protective benefits already offered by BC-06. It creates an enhanced barrier against contaminants such as brake dust, tar, and road salts, which are commonly encountered by wheels and lower vehicle surfaces. Despite this boost in performance, the original heat resistance that BC-06 is known for remains fully intact. The application of the hydrophobic layer does not interfere with the coating’s durability or integrity - instead, it complements and extends its functional characteristics.

The hydrophobic transformation is long-lasting, enduring for the full lifespan of the BC-06 coating without the need for frequent reapplication. This makes it an ideal solution for users who want to combine the protective characteristics of BC-06 with the BC-06 Top Coat’s hydrophobic boost.

This combination of both products is especially ideal for treating motorbikes and parts of the vehicle that are exposed to elements, but can not be effectively reached for wipe off or application by hand. Same as BC-06, BC-06 Top Coat maintains the touchless self-levelling spray application.
